Down through the rocks the water began to course. Hard rock and volcanic stone became slowly polished by the unrelenting flow. Soon a carved track was formed, and the trickles turned into streams and torrents of rushing energy. But those days were long gone now for this ancient and forgotten track. Memories of such glory times washed and eroded away. Still, the track still courses night and day, waiting for the return of the summer rains...

Thanks :D And thanks for the :+fav: Just took patience. It was low light conditions and I didnt have a tripod, so it was quite along shutter time on the camera. Had to hold my hand REALLY steady. Then hoppe in photoshop to make it sepia and put on a border. Really brought out the life in the photo. Photoshop is an awesome program. Do you have it / use it??

Oh and your poetry fits it perfectly. Words of beauty to fit the image.
You have such a gift for this Daves.
Well Done.

D:D Thanks helena! I thought I was getting a little carried away, but I enjoy writing too... almost adds more to the image I think. DO you remember that day? This is from the photos up in currumbin rock pools when we went down to the coast that day. I know you wanted me to delete the photos, but I couldnt bring myself to do it... What a day that was.... ;)

Only touching up in PS was changing the dirty colour of the sepia that the camera put on the image, increasing the contrast just *slightly* and adding the border. Yeah I want to buy a new ixus before my next trip. Those new ones look wicked... Yay for crazy amounts of megapixels...

Sorry about the freakishness of that arvo.
It does add to the photo the words you put to it.

Im loathed to burn/delete things.... Its always so interesting to look back on mementos from the past and have just a peak back into where you once were, what you were once thinking. Being locked in the past sucks, but remeniscing is nice... I will post some more on here maybe. A lot of them came out really blurry though... It was late afternoon when we were there, not great timing for photos ;p
